We can see the absurdity of expecting perfection when it comes to other people but we can't see that same absurdity when it comes to our own imperfect actions.

Take this 16 question quiz to see how you empathetic you are. The quiz in particular (The Toronto Empathy Questionnaire) focuses solely on the emotional side of empathy. This is incredibly important but not the entire story when it comes to empathy.

EMPATHY HAS TWO HALVES: THE EMOTIONAL RESPONSE TO OTHERS' SUFFERING AND ALSO THE PRACTICAL ACTION THAT RESPONDS APPROPRIATELY TO THE PERSON WHO IS SUFFERING.
